This is highly responsible management work related to the Authority’s information technology function. The incumbent is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Authority’s hardware and software systems as well as for providing support to Authority employees. This position is also the first point of contact for employees and acts as a liaison between hardware and software providers and support providers. Reporting to the Deputy Executive Director, this position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the central network, central software, workstations, and local software on individual machines. Work assignments are received in the form of broad objectives and performance expectations with minimal direction in day-to-day operations.
Quality Assurance Manager
Manages data files by reviewing results from audit samples and computer reports to assure compliance with federal requirements and regulations. Receives and reviews allegations of fraud and program abuse. Investigates fraud by requesting information from respective agencies, to determine whether fraud has occurred and maintain written records of investigation and conclusions. Works with the Directors of Bessemer Housing Operations to achieve goals and prepare plans of action to achieve goals as needed.
ROSS Service Coordinator
This is moderately responsible social service work related to the Authority’s resident opportunity and supportive services function. The incumbent is responsible for the coordination of services and activities under the Authority’s Resident Opportunity and Supportive Services (ROSS) grant including both elderly and family supportive services defined in the grant plan. Reporting to the Resident Services Manager, this position is responsible for planning and implementation of programs and initiatives. Work assignments are received in the form of broad objectives and performance expectations with minimal direction in day-to-day operations. This position is only for the duration of the ROSS Grant.
